Emergency Assistance Japan Co., Ltd. (EAJ for short, having its head office in Bunkyo-Ku, Tokyo, managed by Kazumasa Yoshida, President, with URL https://emergency.co.jp/english/) today announced that EAJ were nominated as Medical Travel Assistance Company representing for 22 leading medical institutions of newly accredited “ Japanese International Hospitals” out of 28 such institutions to enhance access to Japanese healthcare for international patients. EAJ also has worked with the 5 remaining medical institutions (they are considering to organize their in-house resources for medical co-ordination) in the past in arranging medical co-ordination for international patients. EAJ are confident to deliver such 5 medical institutions our support case by case if necessity arises.

Medical Excellence JAPAN, General Incorporated Association (MEJ for short) is engaged in promoting Japanese medical institutions that are committed to provide truly excelled medical services for international patients, as “Japanese International Hospitals” through dedicated information platform across the world in cooperation with Japanese Government, so that more international patients are able to receive advanced Japanese healthcare services.
For this purpose, MEJ invited potential medical institutions to join a closed selection for listing to “Japanese International Hospitals” on July, 4th 2016, and a panel of committee conducted comprehensive screening to select eligible medical institutions. On January, 31st, 2017, MEJ designated 28 leading medical institutions as “Japanese International Hospitals” to Task Force of Internationalization of Medical Services attached to Medical Strategy Enhancement Headquarter of Cabinet Ministry. If an international patient seeking medical care in Japan has cleared all the criteria and requirements to the effect that he / she are admissible and/or his / her medical conditions are treatable based upon the medical information to be collected before his / her coming to Japan via medical travel assistance company providing necessary services, the medical travel assistance company will assist the international patient to find and locate the desired medical institution from the list of “Japanese International Hospitals” depending upon the nature of the patients’ medical conditions. This arrangement will enable the international patient to receive the integrated medical care in Japan through prior appointment with medical institutions followed by personal interpreter attendance services.
For the medical institutions designated as “ Japanese International Hospitals”, this arrangement will enable them to provide dedicated medical care that is personalized to each patient, by streamlining the process of receiving the patient in corporation with medical travel assistance company.

An international patient coming to Japan must secure a registered guarantor to apply for medical visa. 3rd International Oncology Conference (at The Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal, Abu Dhabi)

EAJ participated in the 3rd International Oncology Conference held on September 10th and11th, 2015, in Abu Dhabi, one of the largest international cancer summits held in UAE with some of the best scientific deliberations and eminent faculty from major cancer institutes across the GCC and abroad.

Dr. Seiichiro Yamamoto, Director of Health Policy Research Division in Research Center for Cancer Prevention and Screening of National Cancer Center, and Dr. Tadashi Kamada, Director of Research Center for Charged Particle Therapy of National Institute of Radiological Sciences, gave presentations in the Breast Cancer Session and Lung Cancer Session respectively and addressed Japanese high-level medical technologies.

EAJ is committed to further promoting Japanese high-level medical technology and services to the UAE medical sector and supporting UAE patients’ treatment in Japan.

EAJ Signs MOU with ADNOC on Medical Collaboration

On January 18, 2015, Emergency Assistance Japan (EAJ; headquarters at Bunkyo-Ku, Tokyo; President: Kazumasa Yoshida; emergency.co.jp) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), a nationally owned oil company of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on medical collaboration. The MOU shall enable the referral of ADNOC’s patients to Japan, and medical cooperation including Japanese physicians visiting Abu Dhabi to share medical experience and knowledge.

The MOU was signed by EAJ President Kazumasa Yoshida and Mr. Ateeq Saif Al Qamzi Administration Deputy director at ADNOC, with H.E. Yoichi Miyazawa, the Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan, and Mr. Mohammed Butti Al Qubaisi Exploration & Production Director at ADNOC as witness.

The MOU will offer an alternative treatment destination for ADNOC’s employees and their families, and shall enhance healthcare services made available in Abu Dhabi.
