Medical Excellence JAPAN and UAE institutions agreed to collaborate in the medical services field

According to Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry’s strategy in 2013, Medical Excellence JAPAN (MEJ) and UAE institutions agreed to collaborate in the medical services field. Eriya Kitano, Director of MEJ and EAJ, signed Cooperation Agreements on 1st May 2013 at Abu Dhabi. Med in Japan, as a member of MEJ, will support the export of the Japanese advanced medical technology, advanced education to UAE, and provide improvement in medical knowledge and medical technology as well as overseas expansion of Japanese medical equipment and services.

On the following day, the Japan-United Arab Emirates Business Forum was held at Abu Dhabi. The presentations were delivered by Professor Koichi Tanaka, the world leading expert on living liver transplantation, and Professor Shinei Kudo, the world leading expert on endoscopic examination and bowel cancer.
