Dr. Kawai, who spent many years practicing as a cardiovascular surgeon at a university hospital in the United States, is fluent in English. Interpreters are available for languages other than English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to consultations on chronic illnesses and physical conditions, doctors can also help with health problems such as worsening health conditions during travel. Koishikawa International Clinic has completed the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW)-designated online medical practice training course, as stipulated by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s “Guidelines for the Appropriate Implementation of Online Medical Practice”. The completion of this training is also required for medical treatment for foreign visitors to Japan who are not covered by the National Health Insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
